Challenge

Venntifact is a MarTech and Data consultancy working in a rapidly evolving part of the digital ecosystem.

After exhausting personal networks, the business struggled to attract talent and found that existing techniques needed to be more effective. The skills they hire are in high demand, which leads to external recruitment fees becoming unsustainable. Before approaching us, they had also tried multiple in-house solutions. Our initial brief was to audit the existing recruitment strategy and provide recommendations.


Action

  • Audit existing processes, materials and strategies. This included the interview process, hiring manager interview techniques, position descriptions, advertising copy and channel placement, talent community perception and organic social output.

  • As a result of the audit, we: 

    • Streamlined the interview process for speed and efficacy

    • Guided hiring managers on effective interview techniques that enhance candidate engagement. Created supporting materials for future reference and training

    • Redesigned position descriptions, taking them from a vanilla ‘we want’ statement to insightful, emotional and narrative-driven windows into life at the company.

    • Managed the company's LinkedIn page

    • Redesigned job ad copy whilst experimenting with paid placements

    • Partnered with reskilling and underemployed providers to successfully place under-represented candidates into roles
