Group Account Director - Digital/Display - Global Publisher
The position is with a global publishing giant who in the last few years launched an Australian arm in digital-only format. They are viewed as a bastion for progressive, challenging and intellectually stimulating journalism & opinion. Globally their online news reaches a connected and influential audience of over 140m (unique browsers per month). They offer advertisers an opportunity to reach a targeted audience with clearly defined interests via their distinctive section based coverage of news, arts, politics, sports, culture & travel. Applying industry best-practice design principles and brand-design; the site is uniquely optimised for user-navigation & discoverability across desktop, mobile & tablet. Outside of their digital advertising solutions they also offer advertisers branded content & sponsorship opportunities via a specialist strategy & production arm of the business
The role we are currently recruiting is that of a 'Group Account Director - Advertising'
Reporting into the Sales Director and supported by a 'group account manager' your key responsibility is to generate revenue for the business from a patch of agency & direct clients. This will include working alongside content and commercial optimisation teams to offer clients the best possible solution to access the publishers suite of products.
The role is based in the Melbourne office and will offer you the unique opportunity to join a global brand operating with a 'start-up' mentality. It's the best of both worlds.
We are looking for someone with experience selling media & advertising solutions into Melbourne based agencies; displaying a depth of local market knowledge and relationships. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of how to create brand-focused digital advertising solutions that deliver ROI for clients and partners.
The role is paying between $80-100k base salary + 9.5% super and a healthy bonus + commission structure. It is not unreasonable to say that a successful performer will take home a package in the high 100's.
