The Digital Analyst will be welcomed into a Global Insights Team and work alongside the Analytics Lead and Head of Online Commerce from the global HQ in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to deliver analysis and insight relating to the performance of digital properties for all markets they operate in.

Continued expansion sees this business operating in 22 countries; with more than 320 retail stores; and transacting in 21 currencies.  The internal digital team is over 35 people and growing; utilising a modern technology stack and striving for absolute best practice in all they do.

Your role will help guide the approach for data acquisition to understand digital behaviour and how campaigns, commerce and customer service are analysed and reported on. In turn, this role will work with the Global and Regional teams to turn that data into insight to help guide optimisation, UX and feature enhancement efforts across our digital portfolio.

What can you expect?

0-3 months: look at existing GA & GTM configuration and seek to find immediate enhancements, particularly around tracking

3-6 months: make suggestions and improvements to improve the usage of behavioural data (website as well as that drawn from the internal data platform). Things such as 'last look', 'product matching', 'customized shopping baskets'

6-12 months: Network with global analyst team and help define GA expectations for the upcoming & ongoing adoption of GA360. Also drive enhancements that can be made with a planned upgrade to the latest version of Hybris (ecom platform)

What are your responsibilities?

  • Performing adhoc analyses to support the business and provide clarity on business decisions being made

  • Supporting the Global Online Commerce team to determine strong conversion and yield opportunities

  • Working with the Marketing Analyst and Marketing teams to understand campaign performance from a digital perspective

  • Conduct and establish methods for automating analysis efforts, and develop the consolidation processes and applications to ensure accurate maintenance of data quality

  • Provide insight into new opportunities as new practices emerge

  • Support the digital team in ensuring the acquisition of data is consistent and well applied

Who are you?

We anticipate you have 2+ years of experience in data analysis and highly developed skills using Google Analytics, Tag Manager, along with basic to intermediate SQL. It is important you are able to work with databases (SQL) and extract and synthesise data from multiple sources. Ideally you have experience in an ecommerce environment along with an academic background in statistical or analytical methods (mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science).
