This start-up is redefining the way rights holders engage fans and helping both brands and rights holders understand the value of digital content sponsorships. This young company are 50% owned by one of the worlds largest marketing services groups, have a mature product and already generate revenues in excess of $1.5m AUD.

The 3 core products -

Studio: Using artificial intelligence and machine learning the content publishing software can automatically detect when a highlight has happened, edit it, cut it and publish to any digital channel.

Analytics: The analytics platform helps brands and rights holders understand the value of their digital sponsorship assets.

Insights: To accompany the analytics product, they offer a bespoke reporting and insights service to expand the value of sponsorships and provide the true value of digital and social media channels in sponsorship.

The Role

The Head of Business Development plays a critical role in setting our APAC presence and growing the business in key markets. You will work with the CEO to open doors in brand sponsorship & digital teams, sports rights holders, and potentially, broadcast partners. Specifically, this leader will be responsible for revenue generation, account management and new business development to support rapid growth, while focused on customer satisfaction and further market penetration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and drive new and strategic go-to-market plans to meet company growth and market share goals.

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, analysis and insight abilities to lead a team in creating effective account plans that lead to new logo acquisition and new sales in existing accounts.

  • Manage all key relationships to deliver synergy value back to parent business

  • Work with Insights manager to develop new trade marketing reports or insights for existing and new customers

  • Work with CEO to ensure that team have appropriate skills, structures and processes in place to establish thriving APAC business

  • Effectively perform sales forecasting in a quarterly and annual planning rhythm with high levels of predictability, quality and accuracy on both a quarter and annual basis.

  • Bring a POV on systems, processes and investments that should support the sales and go-to-market activities.

What are we looking for?

We anticipate you are a seasoned commercial leader with a proven track record delivering revenue growth and client satisfaction. You will have an intimate knowledge of sports sponsorship; understanding the needs of both brand & rights holder. Ideally, you have sold digital or content led solutions and know the role technology will play in unlocking the future value of digital partnerships and sporting content consumption.
